Original consultation

We are seeking views on enforcement tools to encourage compliance with proposed regulations that will increase the quality and quantity of recycling from non-domestic premises.

Consultation description

We are introducing new regulations that are expected to come into force on 6 April 2024 and require all non-domestic premises (including businesses, and the public and the third sector) to separate key recyclable materials in the way the majority of Wales householders already do.

We are also running a consultation on the Separate Collection of Waste Materials for Recycling: A Code of Practice for Wales

See the related closed consultation: Increasing recycling by businesses.
