If you are eligible for a free lateral flow test, (LFT) you need to report your result. You need to report all results whether positive, negative or void within 24 hours.

If you buy a private test you should not report your result on the GOV.UK website. Some private providers may have their own systems to report results. If you paid for a test, check the test kit instructions to see if you should report your results to the private test provider.

Report your result on GOV.UK or by calling 119. (Rydym yn croesawu galwadau’n Gymraeg / We welcome calls in Welsh).

If your result is positive, stay at home and avoid contact with other people for at least 5 days. Do not visit care homes, hospitals or places where you know there are people at higher risk from COVID-19. Read our guidance on people with respiratory infections, including COVID-19.

Lateral flow testing is currently being offered free of charge if a doctor or specialist has said you're eligible for new COVID-19 treatments.
