Closure of the Welsh Government funded Cardiff-Anglesey public service obligation air service, including the decommissioning of Anglesey Airport.

Introduction

In June 2022, the Deputy Minister for Climate Change announced the immediate withdrawal of financial support for the Cardiff-Anglesey air service.

As a result, the Welsh Government is working with the Isle of Anglesey County Council to decommission Anglesey Airport passenger terminal facility.

Selling surplus airport equipment

As part of the decommissioning process of Anglesey Airport passenger terminal facility, the Welsh Government is selling the surplus airport equipment on the open market.

A list of items for sale and an example contract of sale has been published and bids are invited from those who are interested.
