Details

Direct Award Process 1 of the Provider Selection Regime Wales must be used to award contracts to the existing provider (or group of providers) when the nature of the service means there is no realistic alternative to the existing provider (or group of providers).

Direct Award Process 1 must not be used to:

  • award a contract when establishing a new service
  • conclude a framework agreement
  • to award a contract based on a framework agreement
