Details
If enacted, the bill would:
- change the rules for who can be a medical member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal for Wales; and
- confirm that previous appointments and membership of the Tribunal remain valid.
The bill was introduced to the Senedd on 13 January 2026. The bill will now follow the emergency legislative process.
