A new Badger Vaccination Grant window opened on 10 February. The window will remain open until 10 March 2022.

The Badger Vaccination Grant supports projects to vaccinate badgers against bovine TB. The grant gives:

  • farmers
  • landowners
  • other organisations

in Wales, the opportunity to apply for financial support. We have made up to £50,000 available, each year, for up to four years to date. A further £100,000 has been made available for this grant window. Successful applicants receive up to 50% of the eligible costs of badger vaccination.

The grant applies to privately delivered vaccination projects beyond the Gower. The vaccination project in the Gower will be delivered by Cefn Gwlad Solutions.

Application window

The application window runs from 10 February 2022 until 10 March 2022. Successful applicants will be able to begin vaccinating from May 2022. This is subject to obtaining a badger vaccination licence.
