The Stopping up of Highways (Pontarddulais Flood Alleviation Scheme, Pontarddulais, Swansea) Order 201- (draft)

This Order will enable the construction of a flood embankment to allow the storage of flood waters from the River Dulais (potentially using material from former spoil from Graig Merthyr Colliery in addition to soil importation), the realignment of the public highway, construction of a box culvert and associated works together with reinforcement of existing concrete dam structure, and reprofiling of former spoil areas with environmental enhancement works and creation of wetland habitat, in accordance with planning permission granted under Part 3 of the 1990 Act by the Council on 14 November 2014 under reference number 2012/1649.
