This is not the latest release in the series: NHS activity and capacity during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic
Statistics on coronavirus:
- cases
- deaths
- hospitalisations
- new admissions to hospital
- critical care bed use in Wales
They have been published to provide latest data. The statistics will be used by the NHS Chief Executive in his weekly press conference.
The data are taken from management information and are subject to change. They have not been not been subject to the same validation processes undertaken for official statistics releases. However, they are provided to support transparency and understanding of NHS activity at this time. The official statistics should continue to be considered the authoritative source of data.
Note
Since this data was published on 23 April, Public Health Wales have announced that 84 deaths which occurred between 27 March 2020 and 22 April 2020 have been reported retrospectively in one health board. These deaths are NOT included in the data for this report, but will be included in next week’s report.
