The Marine Management Organisation (MMO):
- acts as the managing authority for the UK, on behalf of Defra
- licenses and regulates marine activities in the seas around England and Wales
- ensures that activities are sustainable
We manage the operational programme for Wales. This includes the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund. The MMO checks that we are on track to achieve our targets.
