Don Thomas Chief Executive Officer, Welsh Lamb and Beef Producers Ltd

They deliver accredited farm assurance schemes in Wales. He is also the Executive Chairman of Quality Welsh Food Certification Ltd. They are an UKAS Accredited Certification body delivering ISO standard Certifications.

Don was educated at Amman Valley Grammar School. He attended Swansea University and Henley Business School where he achieved an MBA.

Don is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. He is currently chair of ACCA Wales. He is a UK representative on the International Assembly. The Assembly represents Accountants from over 50 countries globally.

He serves or has served as a non-executive director for several private companies and public organisations. These include an NHS Health Board and Celtic Pride Ltd.

Don’s professional interests include Corporate Planning and Governance and Risk Management. He is a specialist member of the Institute of Risk Management.

His personal interests include cooking, wine, and sport. Don is a passionate supporter of Welsh rugby and Welsh soccer.
