Original call for evidence
We want your views on an expansion to the 2009 Carbon Capture Readiness (CCR) requirements, in partnership with the UK Government.
Call for evidence description
We are seeking views on changes to the requirements for power plants including:
- removing the 300 MW minimum capacity threshold
- moving the requirements from the planning consent process to the environmental permitting process
- extending the scheme to a wider range of technologies
- introducing the option to comply through hydrogen conversion or another future decarbonisation technology
