Today, I am publishing the summary of responses to the recent consultation on proposed changes to the non-domestic rates central rating list for Wales. The consultation ran for 12 weeks from 21 January until 15 April 2022.

A small number of responses, reflecting a mix of views, was received. Due to the lack of consensus for change, which was proposed for administrative efficiency rather than for policy purposes, the Welsh Government will not be pursuing changes to the central rating list for 1 April 2023.

Where appropriate, the inclusion of hereditaments on the central rating list may be considered in the future.
