David Williams Member
David has been involved in youth work since the age of 17, first as a volunteer running a local voluntary youth club in Cardiff before embarking on his degree in Youth Work and becoming employed as a fulltime youth worker with Newport Youth Service.
He is currently Service Manager at Torfaen Youth Service.
David feels blessed to be part of such a relational and progressive sector, working alongside an incredible team and workforce to support young people in a range of settings and ways. He highly values and recognises the importance of team, building a culture of safety and innovation and creating an environment that brings the best out of colleagues and young people alike.
As member of the Education Workforce Council and previous Chair of the Principal Youth Officers Group, David has extensive experience of contributing to the strategic development of youth work in Wales.
