The ONS have completed further quality work to provide more detailed information on the uncertainty associated with the Census 2021 gender identity estimates and guidance on their appropriate use. Please see their Census 2021 gender identity estimates for England and Wales, additional guidance on uncertainty and appropriate use article (ONS) published on 26 March. Following the release of the ONS article, additional guidance on the use of Census 2021 gender identity estimates has been added to each topic section of this bulletin. This guidance is intended to help users interpret and make appropriate use of the data.
