LGBTQ+ Action Plan Supreme Court Judgment update: 19 December 2025
Following the UK Supreme Court ruling on 16 April 2025 in the case of For Women Scotland Ltd v The Scottish Ministers, where the LGBTQ+ Action Plan refers to “women” or “man”, insofar as the Plan engages the Equality Act 2010, these references are to sex registered at birth.
The plan is currently being reviewed in light of that judgment and further revisions will follow which will be the subject of engagement, before the revised plan is formally re-issued.
