I am pleased to announce that the Welsh Government’s second annual report, as required by the Violence against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (Wales) Act 2015 (“the Act”), has been laid in the Assembly.

The report, which covers the period 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018, describes progress made towards achieving the purpose of the Act and the objectives set out in the Act’s accompanying national strategy.

The report lays out the significant progress during 2017-2018, such as the launch of the THIS IS ME campaign, the ongoing implementation of our National Training Framework, including “Ask and Act,” and the public consultation on the draft guidance for the regional commissioning of violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence services in Wales.
