Please note, this guidance has been amended to:
- reflect the Ministerial Advisory Group's recommendation that patient handovers happen in 45 minutes
- clarify health boards' and Welsh Ambulance Services University Trust (WAST)'s roles and duties for agreeing operational protocols
Health boards should continue to aim to achieve ambulance-patient handovers in 15 minutes. The health boards' and WAST's protocols will enable the achievement of this policy's expectations.
