Background

On 29 April 2015, the VAWDASV (Wales) Act received Royal Assent. This was a landmark piece of legislation that aims to improve:

  • arrangements for the prevention of gender-based violence, domestic abuse and sexual violence
  • arrangements for the protection of gender-based violence, domestic abuse and sexual violence
  • support for people affected by gender-based violence, domestic abuse and sexual violence

Your views on the impact of the Act

We want to gather examples of where the implementation of the Act has had a positive impact for victims and survivors of VAWDASV in Wales.

We also want to recognise individuals who have made an outstanding contribution in tackling VAWDASV.

If you can provide any examples or would like to nominate a colleague for recognition, please complete this short survey.

The survey will close at midnight on 31 July 2025.
