What is Private Office?

The First Minister, cabinet secretaries and ministers each have a dedicated Private Office made up of private secretaries and diary managers who support them to lead effectively and deliver for Wales from entry level through to senior management roles.  

Private Offices are the link between ministers, Welsh Government departments, key stakeholders and the public.  A well-run private office makes everything run smoothly!

What is the Cabinet Secretariat?

The Cabinet Secretariat sits at the heart of the Welsh Government, supporting the First Minister and Cabinet in making collective decisions. 

Its work includes coordinating cabinet meetings, managing government business in the Senedd, overseeing high-level correspondence and managing the official car fleet.

Cabinet Secretariat ensures that decisions are clearly recorded and actioned. 

Its work is essential to maintaining good governance and the smooth running of the Welsh Government.
