The evaluation found that the Welsh Government’s Programme for Government commitment to fund 80 repair and reuse hubs across town centres in Wales was met.
Impacts
The evaluation found that the Circular Economy Fund was an important driver of Repair and Reuse activity across Wales. A range of positive social and environmental impacts of Repair and Reuse Activities were identified, including improved wellbeing and social connection, reductions in waste and encouraging the purchase of second-hand goods, and economic benefits to individuals and the wider community.
The evaluation considered the cost-effectiveness of Circular Economy fund, with variation found across different delivery models.
The report contains a number of detailed conclusions and recommendations based on the findings from the evaluation.
