Dr Day is an inspirational obstetrician and gynaecologist dedicated to transforming maternity care for women in Wales and beyond.
As a consultant at Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen, she is a driving force behind a perinatal team celebrated for its award-winning commitment to patient safety and a positive workplace culture.
Renowned for her passion for equitable care, Dr Day has pioneered initiatives that have significantly reduced stillbirths and birth-related brain injuries through improved teamwork and a culture of learning.
A gifted educator, she has developed innovative training resources and led programmes recognised at national level. Dr Day’s commitment to tackling disparities is evident in her founding of Race Matters in Maternity, Wales’ first conference dedicated to addressing inequalities in maternity outcomes. Frequently consulted as an expert, she serves on advisory boards and has been recognised with multiple prestigious awards for her advocacy and leadership.
