Jess Fishlock MBE, born in Cardiff, is Wales’ most capped footballer and a trailblazer in women’s football. Making her senior debut at just 16, Jess quickly established herself as an outstanding talent, becoming the first Welsh player—male or female—to reach 100 caps, and ultimately representing her country 165 times.
Her leadership was pivotal in guiding the Wales Women’s National Team to their first-ever UEFA EURO Championship finals in 2025, marking a historic milestone for Welsh football. Jess’s club career spans continents, with title wins in England, Australia, Scotland, Germany, and France, including Champions League triumphs with Frankfurt and Lyon.
Off the pitch, she is a respected advocate for equality, earning an MBE in recognition of her services to football and the LGBT community. Jess’s unwavering commitment, resilience, and inspirational presence have made her a role model for aspiring athletes. Her sporting achievements and dedication to her country are truly remarkable.
