This statistical release was due to be published on 23 July 2026 but has been postponed as further time is needed for quality assurance.
Quality assurance checks have identified issues with the underlying data following the migration of general practice appointment management systems to a single supplier. These issues have led to undercounts of some appointment types, including remote and home visits, and have affected the recording of patient attendance on triage lists, resulting in a large increase in ‘did not attend’ appointments. Data for previous periods will remain available on the website; however, users should be aware that previously published figures may be revised once the issues have been resolved. Investigations are ongoing and a resolution is not expected before autumn 2026.
