Framework updates.
Furniture solutions (III)
We have updated the sustainability guidance for our furniture solutions (III) framework. The guidance will assist contracting authorities in considering sustainable sourcing approaches, while meeting Welsh policy goals such as the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 and Towards Zero Waste.
It provides practical steps to:
- Integrate circular economy principles into furniture procurement
- Ensure compliance with relevant Welsh and UK environmental legislation, including the Workplace Recycling Regulations 2024, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for Packaging, and the UK Timber Regulations
- Support reporting on carbon and waste impacts in line with Welsh Government policy
- Deliver wider social and environmental benefits under the Well-being Goals
