I represented the Welsh Government at the Business and Industry Inter-Ministerial Group on 3 February. This was the third meeting of the re-established Inter-Ministerial Group.

The meeting was chaired by Caoimhe Archibald MLA, Minister for the Economy, Northern Ireland Executive. It was also attended by Richard Lochhead MSP, Minister for Business and Employment, Scottish Government, Chris McDonald MP, Minister for Industry and Blair McDougall MP, Minister for Small Business and Economic Transformation, UK Government.  A joint communique regarding this meeting will be published in due course on the UK Government website. 

Discussions focused on recent economic developments across the UK and the importance of continued partnership and collaboration in delivering the UK Industrial Strategy and arrangements to maintain continuity of work during the election period.

UK Government will be chairing the next Business and Industry Inter-Ministerial Group in line with rotating chair arrangements.
