Agenda item 6: early findings from the published Social Partnership reports    

SPC Secretariat to draft a letter for the Minister to send to those public bodies that have not yet submitted their SP report for 24-25.

Agenda item 5: update from the AI Delivery Group    

SPC Secretariat to ensure updates from the AI Delivery Group as their work progresses.

Ongoing: an update from the Chairs has been tabled for the February meeting (SPC 10-05).

Agenda item 3: membership of the Procurement Subgroup    

MCSSP to write to FM informing her that the SPC has agreed the membership of the Procurement subgroup.

Completed: the First Minister was notified on 8th December.

Agenda item 2: Local Growth Fund    

SPC members to share the LGF consultation with their networks/stakeholders

Agenda item 5: proposal for next steps on AI    

SPC Secretariat to ensure updates from the AI Delivery Group are provided at future meetings of the Council.

Agenda item 3: 2026-27 Draft Budget    

Once work with stakeholders has been completed, an update to be provided to the SPC by Welsh Government officials showing what mitigations are being planned in the event of a restated Budget being passed.

Completed: the Budget was agreed by the Senedd on 27 January.

Agenda item 2: UK Industrial Strategy    

Officials to provide an update on the engagement plan when available.

Agenda Item 2: Confidential: Members Only: Consultation on Welsh Ministers Legislative Priorities    

Members to provide ideas on any technical bills that are likely to have cross party support that could be proposed for future consideration beyond the current Senedd term to the SPC Secretariat.

Agenda item 2: Employment Rights Bill

SPC Secretariat to ensure regular updates are provided to the SPC on the progress of the Employment Rights Bill.

Completed: Bill received Royal Assent on 18 December and became the Employment Rights Act.

Agenda item 4: proposed approach to the provision of information and advice by the SPC to the Welsh Ministers    

DMSP agreed to share all 55 social partnership reports from public bodies (when available) with the summary report for 2024/25 should SPC members wish to see them.

Agenda item 6: The Socially Responsible Public Procurement provisions of the Social Partnership and Public Procurement (Wales) Act 2023      

SH to consider how best to ensure that the SPC is kept up to date via technical briefings on procurement matters as well as the development of the Procurement Subgroup.

Ongoing: a paper on the membership of the Procurement Subgroup (SPC 09-03) has been tabled for the December meeting. Updates have been provided at previous meetings and a technical briefing on procurement was held on 24 September 2024 and a further session has been offered to members this year.
