Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010: January to March 2026

Under 18 years

• 1,225 referrals were received for an LPMHSS assessment in March 2026.
• In March 2026 91.6% of LPMHSS assessments were undertaken within 28 days from the date the referral was received.
• 87.8% of therapeutic interventions were started within 28 days following an LPMHSS assessment in March 2026.

18 years and over

• 6,343 referrals were received for an LPMHSS assessment in March 2026.
• In March 2026 83.0% of LPMHSS assessments were undertaken within 28 days from the date the referral was received.
• 94.4% of therapeutic interventions were started within 28 days following an LPMHSS assessment in March 2026.

All ages

• 7,568 referrals were received for an LPMHSS assessment in March 2026.
• In March 2026 84.9% of LPMHSS assessments were undertaken within 28 days from the date the referral was received.
• 92.7% of therapeutic interventions were started within 28 days following an LPMHSS assessment in March 2026.

Under 18 years

There were 726 patients in receipt of secondary Mental Health services at the end of March 2026; of these, 681 (93.8%) had a valid Care and Treatment Plan (CTP).

18 years and over

There were 16,772 patients in receipt of secondary Mental Health services at the end of March 2026; of these, 14,230 (84.8%) had a valid CTP.

All ages

There were 17,498 patients in receipt of secondary Mental Health services at the end of March 2026; of these, 14,911 (85.2%) had a valid CTP.

During March 2026, 92.3% of outcome of assessments reports were sent within 10 working days after a Part 3 assessment had taken place.
