Lessons from Auschwitz
Lessons from Auschwitz is a Welsh Government funded experience-based course for students, that explores the universal lessons of the Holocaust and its relevance today.
What it offers
- A half-day orientation seminar in Cardiff, including a talk from a Holocaust survivor.
- A one-day visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum in Poland.
- A half-day follow-up seminar
- Supported group work to look at ways students can share what they've learned.
Who can apply
All students in post-16 education in state-funded schools and colleges in Wales can take part. A coordinating teacher and (or) tutor must apply on behalf of the students.
Two students from each school or college can take part. A limited number of teacher places are available.
What it costs
The course costs £75 per person. Travel subsidies are available.
How to apply
Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis, with priority given to schools and colleges that have not previously participated.
