The Healthy Eating in Schools (Nutritional Standards and Requirements) (Maintained Primary Schools) (Wales) Regulations 2025 come into force on 31 October 2026, which sets out changes to what can be served at breakfast in primary schools. We have published new guidance on this, healthy eating in schools regulations 2025: statutory guidance for local authorities and governing bodies.
We will publish new Primary School breakfast guidance in October.
