Details

This Order will stop up lengths of highway for the re-development of the former Brains Brewery site at Crawshay Street, Cardiff CF10 5DS to provide an office building, ancillary gym, market place/retail and food and drink units, a multi storey car park with ancillary retail use and realm, access, drainage and other infrastructure works for the delivery of Central Quay phase 1 in accordance with planning permission granted under Part 3 of the 1990 Act by Cardiff County Council on 12 July 2018 with reference 18/00735/MJR accompanied by the non-material amendment approvals with reference number 19/03171/MJR granted on 10th March 2020, 23/01336/NMA granted on 18 July 2023 and 23/01627/NMA granted on 11 August 2023 and described  in Schedule 2 to this Order. 

The stopping up of a length of the existing highway is considered necessary to facilitate this development.
