How to use the activation PIN to activate your Childcare Offer for Wales account.

Activate the setting

Your registration application will be reviewed by your local authority (LA).

This review includes the LA calling the setting to check identity and some registration details.

Once this has been done and the LA is able to approve the application an Activation PIN will be sent by government post to your setting address as registered with CIW, within 48 hours. The lead person activates the service using the activation PIN after signing in to the Childcare Offer for Wales account.

If your setting is unable to receive post, you will need to let the local authority know when they contact you to validate the setting’s registration.

You must keep this Activation PIN safe and share with other staff members wishing to join the setting’s account.

If the lead person leaves the employment of the setting it is their responsibility to share the PIN with the new leader for the setting to continue to have access to the digital service.
