Membership
A summary of the membership of the AI Commission for Health and Social Care.
The commission includes members from:
- health and social care
- life sciences
- local government
- higher education
- independent experts
- Welsh Government
The role of our members is to:
- support the use of AI-based technologies to aid staff decision-making, enable preventative care and improve services
- draw on insight, and authority from health, social care, the wider public sector, and expertise in technical implementation, service delivery and the appropriate use of data
- understand and take supporting action to increase the pace of adoption of AI-enabled technologies, taking into account the needs of staff and patients
- work together to support the implementation and safe, responsible, and ethical use of AI as part of health and care decision-making and services
