Llyr Gruffydd MS, Cabinet Minister for Rural Resilience and Sustainability, has appointed a new Member to Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.
The newly appointed Member is Delyth Raynsford, who will serve as a Member from 1 October 2026 until 30 September 2030.
Delyth Raynsford is an experienced Registered General Nurse and has held several senior clinical and managerial positions in the NHS in Wales. She also worked for Barnardo’s Cymru as a Children’s Services Manager and Business Development Manager for several years responsible for Family Support & Children’s Services in Mid and South Wales. Recently she was privileged to serve as an Independent Board Member of Hywel Dda University Health Board for an eight-year term. She is a former Chair of Governors at her daughter’s school.
Delyth is a first language Welsh speaker from a farming background in Carmarthenshire, now living on a smallholding in West Wales. She is passionate about ensuring people of all ages and abilities can access green spaces such as National Parks without experiencing disadvantage or inequity.
She enjoys photography, walking her springer spaniel, good food and Welsh art.
Members of the National Park Authorities are paid £5,936 per annum reflecting a time commitment of a minimum of 44 days per year.
This appointment has been made in accordance with the Governance Code on Public Appointments.
Delyth Raynsford has declared she has not undertaken any political activity in the past five years. She does not hold any other Ministerial appointments.
