Information requested

You have asked for a copy of the ecological report that was produced for the A40 Llanddewi Velfrey by-pass.  You are particularly interested in information relating to the stretch from the Bethal chapel to Fynnon Chapel on the A40.

Our response

I can confirm that we hold the information requested. However, the information is considered exempt from disclosure under Section 21 – Information reasonably accessible by other means of the Freedom of Information Act.

The full Environmental Statement for the A40 Llanddewi Velfrey to Penblewin Improvements Scheme is available via the Welsh Government Scheme website.

Information relating to your query can be found in the A40 Llanddewi Velfrey to Penblewin Improvements Environmental Statement, Volume 1. Chapter 8 – ‘Ecology and Nature Conservation’ which assesses the likely effects of the Scheme on ecological resources within the study area and surrounding vicinity and; Chapter 9 – ‘Landscape and Visual Effects’ which presents the findings of the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) for the Scheme. View both chapters.

You may also wish to note that all of the technical appendices that inform Chapters 8 and 9 of the A40 Llanddewi Velfrey to Penblewin Improvements Environmental Statement can be found in Volume 3C: Technical Appendices.
