What is a Baby Bundle?

A Baby Bundle contains essential items to support new parents and their babies. Baby Bundles also include useful information and advice about parenting and support programmes.

Baby Bundles are provided at no cost to eligible expectant parents. The programme is funded by the Welsh Government.

Eligibility

The Baby Bundles programme is a targeted programme. Your midwife will check your eligibility at your antenatal appointment around 16 weeks.

How to get a Baby Bundle

Your midwife will go through a registration form with you at your antenatal appointment around 25 weeks of pregnancy.

Your midwife will then post the registration form that will register you for your Baby Bundle, so you won’t need to do anything else.

If you are a new parent living in an eligible area in Wales and missed the registration at the 25 week antenatal appointment for a legitimate reason, your midwife will still be able to register you for a bundle until the baby is four months old. Please contact your midwife to discuss this. The first Baby Bundles are likely to be delivered from February 2026.

If you are a foster carer, adopting a baby or having a baby via surrogacy and your baby is under four months, you are entitled to a Baby Bundle. Your midwife can support you in registering if you live in an eligible area.
