We are seeking your views on a proposed ban for commercial third party sales of puppies and kittens.
Consultation description
We are consulting on whether a change of policy and/or law would improve the welfare of puppies and kittens being sold.
Commercial third party sellers are those who are licenced pet sellers.
Commercial third party sales may be associated with low welfare conditions for the animal compared to buying direct from the breeder.
