Beverly Owen Commissioner
Beverly Owen is a member of the South East Wales Transport Commission.
A Housing and Regeneration graduate, Beverly has over 20 years’ experience of senior local government experience across a variety of roles. Having led the development and delivery of a number of major economic and social regeneration programmes in South East Wales, Beverly was appointed as Newport City Council’s Strategic Director for Place in July 2016.
Beverly is the Council’s senior officer with responsibility for Newport’s ongoing economic growth and development, with oversight of Regeneration and a wide range of other city services, including transport and infrastructure. Beverly is also a Board Director of the Cardiff Capital Region’s Compound Semi-Conductor Foundry and Newport Norse Joint Venture Property Company.
