Introduction
We are launching a bluefin tuna (BFT) catch and release recreational fishery (CRRF) for permitted vessels. This will take place in Welsh waters between August to December for 2025.
Who can apply
To maximise the benefit of the fishery, we are accepting applications from charter vessels. (i.e. vessels which take paying customers aboard for fishing trips.)
How to apply
Applications open on 23 May 2025 and will close at 23:59 on 20 June 2025.
We will consider your application, as long as you have:
