Summary

Bridgend Resource Centre is a modern adult social care day centre offering therapeutic treatments and community support. With consistent year-round heating demand for the swimming pool, underfloor heating and excellent thermal insulation, the site was well-suited for a low carbon heating retrofit. In 2024, the Energy Service provided financial and technical support to Bridgend County Borough Council to replace the existing gas boilers with a high-efficiency air source heat pump system.
