We want your views on new regulations for co-ordinating school admission arrangements.

Consultation description

We are consulting on proposals to:

  • place local authorities under a duty to co-ordinate admission arrangements for maintained schools within their area
  • create an associated amendment to the School Information (Wales) Regulations 2011 (“the 2011 Regulations”). Local authorities will need to include a summary of its co-ordinated scheme in its composite prospectus. This is alongside a clear explanation of the process stages of applying for a school place
