Original consultation

We are seeking your views on the draft 'Code of practice on quality assurance and performance management, escalating concerns, and closure of regulated care and support services'.

Consultation description

The draft code of practice is for local authorities, local health boards, and NHS trusts who commission regulated care and support services under the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016.

It sets out requirements and information to support commissioners on:

  • processes and actions
  • roles and responsibilities
  • recommended structures

It will replace the 2009 statutory guidance 'Escalating concerns with and closures of care homes providing services for adults'.
