The Cabinet Secretary for Education and the Minister for Social Care have agreed to consolidate funding contributions, in financial year 2024 to 2025, from the budgets of Social Services, Further Education and Equity in Education divisions to support young carers.  Grant funding of £23,500 will be provided for Carers Trust Wales to produce young carers resources for schools and further education settings and £60,000 for Credu to deliver a young carers festival in August 2024.

The Cabinet Secretary also agreed to provide an additional amount of £88,226 of capital grant funding in 2024 to 2025 to Wales and West Housing Association to allow for increased costs on the fire safety works.
