The Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs, along with the Cabinet Secretaries for Housing and Local Government, and Finance and Welsh Language, have agreed to provide up to £8.12 million in capital grant funding for 2024 to 2025. This funding will be available to applicants for urgent repairs to Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management assets impacted by Storms Bert and Darragh, with the aim of reducing risk to properties.

The Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs has agreed to a funding allocation of £5million from the Rural Investment Scheme budget for the Financial Year 2025 to 2026 to launch the Food Business Accelerator Capital Grant Scheme. The Cabinet Secretary for Education has agreed to allocate funding to appoint/extend two local authority secondees aimed at strengthening Food in Schools policy development and Universal Primary Free School Meals delivery. The Cabinet Secretary has also agreed to allocate funding to deliver a public consultation and support implementation of legislative changes arising from the review of the Healthy Eating in Schools (Nutritional Standards and Requirements) (Wales) Regulations 2013.
