Original consultation
The European Union (EU) Ambient Air Quality Directive sets limits for major air pollutants. One of these is nitrogen dioxide (NO2).
Consultation description
We have made improvements in air quality but there are still some areas where more action is needed to meet these limits. We have produced new draft air quality plans for these areas to show how we intend to meet these limits.
We want your views on our proposed approach to meeting the NO2 limits.
This is a joint consultation with the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and Department of the Environment (Northern Ireland). A separate consultation is being carried out by the Scottish Government.
