This is not the latest release in the series: Effects of changes to the school year and alternative school calendars
This report sets out the findings from an updated review of the evidence base looking at changes to the school calendar, as well as including findings from interviews with stakeholders in local authorities where changes have been made.
The report summarises the impact the current school year may have on student attendance, wellbeing, and learning loss. It also provides an overview of what changes have been made in nine local authorities across England and Scotland, and the consultation process involved with these changes.
