The research is being undertaken to explore the factors which affect the recruitment and retention of domiciliary care workers.

The findings from the research will inform a public consultation on policy interventions to improve the quality of domiciliary care through positively impacting on the recruitment and retention of domiciliary care workers. The research will also provide recommendations, as appropriate, on further research requirements and on how the Welsh Government could improve the quality of domiciliary care through policy that has a positive influence on individuals to become and remain working as domiciliary care workers.
