The report sets out the findings from an evaluation of the FareShare Cymru grant award, covering the delivery, monitoring and sustainability of the grant award between 2015 to 2024.
This is the latest release
The evaluation found that since 2015, FareShare Cymru has consistently met or exceeded grant targets, showing steady growth in food volumes redistributed, number of members supported, and operational self-sufficiency.
It also found that the grant played a key role in enabling FareShare Cymru to scale up its operations efficiently by ensuring the right infrastructure, people and skillsets were in place.
The evaluation also covered the environmental, social and economic impacts of the grant; and a comparative review of the surplus edible food redistribution landscape in Wales and across the UK.
The report contains a number of detailed conclusions and recommendations based on the findings from the evaluation.
