Introduction

These statistics relate to fire and rescue service incidents between April 2024 and year end March 2025.

An annual update presenting information on fires attended, casualties due to fires, false alarms, Special Service Incidents and contained dwelling fires.

The Welsh Government’s Performance Management Framework for measuring Fire and Rescue Authority (FRA) performance was introduced in 2007, data, including FRS level data, are published on StatsWales in the table Fire service performance indicators (StatsWales).

FRAs publish their performance data on their own websites, available in the below links:

North Wales FRA

Mid and West Wales FRA

South Wales FRA

Further information on the data collection and quality can be found in our fire statistics quality report.

The performance indicators are grouped under two themes: ‘risk reduction and community safety’ and ‘effective response’.
