Why do licence variations occur
Licence variations occur to:
- reflect changes in catch limits, and
- open or close sea areas
during the lifetime of a licence, as requested by our quota managers.
Licences may be varied at any time. You are responsible for checking your licence documents before going to sea. We publish our variations on line, as well as sending out paper copies. This is in line with other UK administrations.
