How to get the NHS COVID Pass to prove that you are vaccinated against COVID-19.
The fastest way to get an NHS COVID Pass is to apply online for a digital version of the pass. The NHS COVID Pass can be downloaded and printed.
The NHS COVID Pass is a way to show your coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination status or test results.
To apply for a digital NHS COVID Pass you must:
- be aged 12 or over
- be registered with a GP in Wales or England
You will need to upload a photo of one of the following:

- full UK driving licence
- full European driving licence
You may also be asked to record a short video of yourself.
Get your digital NHS COVID Pass (nhs.uk). Once you have downloaded your NHS COVID Pass, the barcode will be valid for 180 days. This will automatically update every time you log into the service.
You cannot use the NHS England app to get the COVID pass as this functionality is for NHS England only.
Children aged 5 to 11
Children aged 5 to 11 years old who have had a full course of vaccinations or a positive NHS PCR within the last 6 months can now get a letter NHS COVID Pass. This will be valid for 180 days.
A person with parental responsibility for a child can request the letter on their behalf online at Get your NHS COVID Pass letter (nhs.uk).
The letter is sent to the address held on the child’s NHS record (the address held by their GP). It will show all COVID-19 vaccinations they have received.

Paper certificates can only be issued if:
